(Norfolk, VA—December 4, 2007) —Decipher Inc. announced today that The Star Trek Customizable Card Game Second Edition will come to a close with the release of the final expansion set, "What You Leave Behind," scheduled the last week in December. The final set will be sold exclusively through Hill's Wholesale Gaming (www.wholesalegaming.com). The Star Trek CCG was originally introduced into the marketplace under license from Viacom/Paramount Pictures in November 1994. The final expansion set is designed to complete the game and celebrate many years of strategic gaming in the Star Trek universe. Everyone involved in the development and production of the game wishes to thank the player community for their enthusiastic support for the game for the past thirteen years.

Decipher is proud to celebrate the history of Star Trek CCG 2E with a full expansion set that features quality, much as it has from the game's launch. "What You Leave Behind" is a boosters-only expansion with 122 cards (40 rare, 41 uncommon, 41 common cards) that includes an 18-card "Archive" foil subset (1:8 average pack distribution). The regular foil inserts are distributed 1:7 packs on average. This final installment in the Star Trek CCG product line is a must-have for players and collectors alike; it includes new additions to game play, as well as nods to fan favorites from the history of Star Trek CCG: Second Edition.

Persistent is a new keyword that allows a player to bring successful dilemmas back against an opponent on future turns. The expansion also focuses on missions worth 40 or more points; players completing these missions will receive new and interesting rewards.

The final expansion set in the storied Star Trek CCG will herald the re-appearance of Mot, The Barber. This character, along with his humorous and often misunderstood barbering skill, was introduced in the Premier set more than thirteen years ago, and will now carry through to the final expansion set. In addition, the set will revisit successful older cards and strategies such as Patrol Neutral Zone and MACO, and offer reworks of popular personnel such as the Borg Queen and Data. A solid selection of personnel and ships across all of the Star Trek affiliations will also be included. While there may still be uncharted game play territory for the game's loyal players, this 14th expansion for the Second Edition of Star Trek CCG does the job of bringing to a close what we feel has been one of the most successful games in the genre of trading card games.

What You Leave Behind, scheduled to ship in late December, will be sold exclusively through Hill's Wholesale Gaming. Players can visit their website at http://www.wholesalegaming.biz/ to purchase the product.

CARLSBAD, CA (November 2, 2007) – Upper Deck Entertainment (UDE) is currently working on the next Marvel Trading Card Game (TCG) Vs. System™ expansion set and would like the input of TCG players around the world. Releasing as a “players’ choice” set, UDE’s new Marvel Universe expansion will be created utilizing votes gathered from Vs. System fans who will have the opportunity to rally to have their favorite Vs. System components appear in the set. Players can begin casting their votes November 5 through December 31 on www.vssystem.com.

“This is the first time we’ve ever incorporated input on this large of scale where the fans are designing nearly the entire set,” said Vs. System Product Manager Hyrum Savage. “We wanted to reward Vs. System players who have been dedicated to the game throughout the years by producing a set based on what they would like to see in the game.”

Every few weeks, UDE will post a new category online that players can vote for. These categories will include teams, characters, mechanics, and storylines, to name a few. The information will then be gathered by UDE and implemented into the upcoming set.

UDE will continue organized play support for the Vs. System through the end of 2007 and into next year with the current line-up of the Elite Series program, Hobby League and Release Celebrations. Beginning early next year, UDE will also host an array of Mega Weekends that will feature various tournaments for players of all levels that will lead up to the Vs. System World Championship Tournament in August. Details of the World Championship Tournament and Mega Weekends will be announced in December.

The Vs. System game engine represents epic Super Hero™ battles in a TCG format. Development of the game included testing by top professional TCG players from around the world to ensure that the Vs. System is carefully balanced for high-level competition, as well as casual play.

CARLSBAD, Calif. (October 19, 2007) – Upper Deck and Blizzard Entertainment® today announced the January 2008 release of a new hardcover book titled World of Warcraft®: The Art of the Trading Card Game, which will feature artwork created for the highly popular World of Warcraft Trading Card Game (TCG). Published by Chronicle Books, the 288-page, 11”x9” book will include more than 300 full-color iconic pieces of art featured during the first year of release of the World of Warcraft TCG.

World of Warcraft: The Art of the Trading Card Game will feature a collection of sketches, paintings and finished artwork highlighting a selection of World of Warcraft’s most valiant heroes, devastating spellcasters and bloodthirsty creatures created by some of today’s top fantasy artists. These artists include Todd McFarlane (Spawn), Greg Staples (Judge Dredd), Zoltan Boros and Gabor Szikszai (InQuest Gamer magazine’s “Artists of the Year” recipients), Marcelo Vignali (Disney Animation), and Todd Lockwood (Forgotten Realms), among others.

“World of Warcraft is a global phenomenon that boasts a large base of people who not only actively play the online game and TCG, but who also really enjoy the artwork in the games,” said Tim Muret, Vice President of Upper Deck Authenticated. “We wanted to release a book for these players as well as celebrate the great work of these artists.”

Insightful forewords are given by Blizzard’s Senior Art Director, Samwise Didier, and Art Lead Glenn Rane. Jeremy Cranford, Art Acquisitions Manager for Upper Deck Entertainment, provides the book’s introduction.

Based on Blizzard Entertainment’s hit massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), the TCG allows players to experience the action and adventure of World of Warcraft in a new format. Released in October 2006, the TCG’s premiere set quickly became the hottest and most-sought-after trading card game in the industry, prompting UDE to print additional quantities to support the overwhelming demand.

World of Warcraft is the most popular MMORPG in the world, with more than 9 million subscribers playing the game in North America, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Europe, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. In World of Warcraft, players assume the roles of legendary heroes and interact with thousands of other players online as they explore, adventure, and quest across a vast realm. Whether journeying together or fighting against one another in epic battles, players form friendships, forge alliances, and compete against enemies for power and glory.

CARLSBAD (October 11, 2007) – Galactus the World Devourer is returning to Earth, and this time, Vs. System™ players around the world will be able to join forces to stop him. In November, Upper Deck Entertainment (UDE) will introduce the very first Vs. System multiplayer expansion set with Giant-Size Vs: The Coming of Galactus. Taking the Vs. System’s game representation of Super Hero combat to the next level, The Coming of Galactus will be available at most participating retail and hobby stores across the U.S.

For the first-time ever in the Vs. System, players will have a chance to form an alliance with friends to take on the Devourer of Worlds himself, Galactus. The combined powers of the Fantastic Four were enough to drive off this epic foe, but what about the combined powers of the X-Men, the Spider-Friends and the Avengers? Players will get to answer that question themselves as they take their favorite decks into battle against Galactus and his Heralds.

The set will feature brand-new cards designed especially for a true multiplayer experience, in addition to new and exclusive cards that can be played in any traditional Vs. System deck. Players can use these cards in the decks they take into battle or use them as rewards when they finally manage to defeat Galactus.

Each Coming of Galactus set includes an 80-card Galactus deck, five randomly inserted cards (20 to collect), an oversized Galactus card, a UDE Points card and a rulebook. The Galactus deck is designed to be played against decks from any other Vs. System release.

The Vs. System game engine represents epic Super Hero™ battles in a TCG format. Development of the game included testing by top professional TCG players from around the world to ensure that the Vs. System is carefully balanced for high-level competition, as well as casual play. Vs. System players can find organized play programs supporting all levels of competitive gameplay, from Hobby League to the Pro Circuit.
